The Lions Annual Holiday, for seniors and the lonely, takes place in Trabolgan in June each year. The first Holiday was organized in 1981 by Cecil Vard, Dublin Lions Club. The venue then was in Mosney and it became an annual event organized by the Lions Clubs of Ireland. In 2001, the venue was changed to Trabolgan where it continues to this day.
There is a full and varied programme throughout the week including dancing, competitions, supervised aqua aerobics, a daily walking challenge, bus tours and shows each evening. Minibuses and buggies are provided to transport those with walking difficulties and medical assistance, including an Order of Malta mobile unit, is on hand 24 hours a day.
One of the great attractions of the Holiday is that it allows the Guests to mingle with persons of their own age and swap stories and experiences.
The joy that you see on the faces of our Guests makes the holiday so worthwhile.
Everyone has a fantastic holiday!
